Got these lyrics by Aslyn stuck in my head... if you've never heard of her you should definitely give her a listen

What is the difference
A friend and a lover?
Is there room in the middle for me?
You are so beautiful
You make me make out a fool
To work out a way to be
I could fly like a bird
But I just can't let it be

What have I gotta do
When all you see is passing sand?
Cause I would rather lose it all
Than watch you walking hand in hand
With some other girl
She's stealing my fate
But I can't make you dream of me
I can't make you dream of me

Is there holy water?
Does salt heal things better?
Cause I need a place to heal
My heart's a flat tire
I sulk and admire
Hoping you'll stop for me
I could hide like a turtle
But I just can't let it be

What have I gotta do
When all you see is passing sand?
Cause I would rather lose it all
Than watch you walking hand in hand
With some other girl
She's stealing my fate
But I can't make you dream of me
I can't make you dream of me

You can't force a fire
And I'm not a good liar
I'm wanting you all for me

What have I gotta do
When all you see is passing sand?
Cause I would rather lose it all
Than watch you walking hand in hand
With some other girl
She's stealing my fate
But I can't make you dream of me
I can't make you dream of me
I can't make you dream of me
I can't make you dream

Thursday, July 1

one of those days...

You ever wake up feeling great about the day only to find that everyone already else knows its not gonna go well? Well that was my Thursday...

My patients at work were wild from start to finish today. I dealt with criticism, negativity, and plain and simple DRAMA all day long. Well, during the worst part of today I heard this quote... and while I cant necessarily adopt this philosophy with my patients, it sure made me smile...

"I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind.
Some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!"
~ Dr. Seuss
