As most who know me are aware I'm not a big fan of children. As such, holidays aren't my favorite since they center around kids and cause them to be overly annoying. Anyway, while I work hard to avoid the droves of masked, sticky fingered little monsters running around my neighborhood I thought I'd switch things up on my blog and have a holiday themed post. Its Supernatural, so obviously they know how to do scary. Add in Sam being brilliant and Dean kicking ass and it had to be a favorite!

Ok, she's drunk. Still, its Leonard and Penny's first kiss... an awesome moment!
2. How I Met Your Mother "Slutty Pumpkin"
Everyone spent seasons wondering who the slutty pumpkin was... brilliant. Having the slutty pumpkin turn out to be Katie Holmes... even better!

"No... SPACE doody!" Best show ever, so obviously it had to be my number one choice!

hair.
So, I've been a short hair girl for as long as I can remember... but I started growing it out about a year ago. My hair is getting long, but suddenly I am DYING DYING DYING to chop some of it off! Anyway, I've always been in love with Katie Holmes and Reese Witherspoon. They are such classy ladies. So, when I saw Katie's new hairstyle on the cover of Elle I fell in love.

Fun Friday #2!
Yes, I realize that its Monday.I intended to make a fun post on Friday, but we had friends in from out of town and LOTS of stuff going on. As such, I'm just now getting around to my 'fun' post. Anyway, what I really enjoy is when my readers steal my question or topic and answer them on their own blogs.... so copy, paste, and tell me whats going on in your world. You'll be hearing more from me about life this week (whenever I get over this bout of cold), but for now on to fun Friday... I mean Monday. =)
My fun about me post this week was inspired by my wonderful older sister Robin. Upon hearing that I was sickly, she encouraged me to feel better, noting that I couldn't possibly feel too bad when the love of my life, Mr. Justin Timberlake, was newly single. As such, I decided to devote my fun post to filling you in on my life long obsession...
In case you didn't know (though I'm not sure how you might have missed it) I think JT is the PERFECT guy. haha. Laugh, but I'm serious. Here's why.
1. N'sync. I was a DIEHARD fan. Justin and I grew up together. =)
2.He cracks me up on SNL. The Target skits, Omletteville, The Barry Gibb Talk Show, and of course:
3. He was the first guy Ashton Kutcher punked. He got a little teary eyed and called his mom on TV... and yet he was still a good sport. Gotta love a guy who loves his momma and can take a joke.
4. 6 grammys, 2 emmys, and a in a movie that got an oscar nod. Now thats talent.
5. He dated Britney Sears... and I LOVE her.
6. He's freakin hot... come on you KNEW that one was coming!

Fun Friday #1!
Happy Friday everyone. Sorry I've been MIA this week. I've been feeling pretty under the weather all week. I'm fairly certain its all allergies, so hopefully things will be clearing up soon. Anyway, if you read my blog, you know how strongly I believe in prayer. I'm on the verge of several big things in life, and I'd GREATLY appreciate if you'd pray with me about whats going on. I am waiting to hear if I was accepted to grad school at Winthrop. I applied for a new apartment, and I'm waiting to hear about that. It would be my very first apartment all alone. I really feel like I'm growing up, and I couldn't be more excited!
Anyway, I posted some random stuff about me a week or so ago, and it got a really good response. As, such, I decided that I'm going to post a "fun" post every Friday in addition to the more reflective, theological posts that I usually make during the week. Sometimes I want to write a blog, but I don't really know what to write about. I am not really under the impression that anyone reads my blogs, but I for some reason worry about it when I haven't written in a while. Its strange, I know. I suppose I don't want to disappoint the attentive two person audience... such a people pleaser. ugh. I'm not sure why I start out by saying that, because I actually have something to write about today.
Yesterday while I was at work I was talking to a coworker, Mr.Mac. Mac works part time at NHC and is a teacher and coach the rest of the time. We started talking about high school and he pointed out to me that its basically 3 years until my ten year reunion. He told me to fix anything I needed to fix now before I had to see those people again. hahaha
Now I don't care at all about impressing people from high school, and I probably won't even go to that reunion anyway. So, why am I writing all this then? Well, that conversation with Mr. Mac got me thinking about things that I want to do... so here's my list of thirty things I want to do before I am thirty....
1. Get my picture taken on the zebra walk at Abbey Road.
2. finish my masters degree
3. write a book of some sort
4. new years eve in times square
5. take a surfing lesson
6. learn to say 'i love you' in 50 languages
7. learn to play a song on a musical instrument (any will do)
8. take a dancing class
9. take a trip by train
10. go scuba diving.
11. drive across the country.
12. visit the Grand Canyon.
13. see the Sydney Opera house in Australia
14. go to the Smithsonian (I feel like I should have done this already)
15. Mardi Gras
16. learn to play chess.
17. become a wine connoisseur
18. read ever book that won the Pulitzer prize for fiction
19. watch all of AFI's 100 funniest movies
20. be able to donate an entire paycheck to charity
21. Meet Justin Timberlake! =)
22. get over my fear of needles and donate blood
23. own my own home.
24. have an article/research published in a psychological journal.
25. pay off student loans.
26. understand anything about my finances
27. POSSIBLY get married... (we will see about that one)
28. spend a year as a vegetarian
29. build an impressive record collection
30. watch the Braves win a world series.
